A Stowaway

MM 630

After re-fueling and pumping out, we were underway at 9:00am today. Weather was sunny and breezy, but not with the gale force winds of the past two days. We managed narrow passages in Jekyll Creek and the Mud River; a rising tide makes all of the difference.

After I stowed the fenders and lines, I found an uninvited guest on board against the dodger…

Not sure where we picked him up, but I don’t want him to get inside the boat

We arrived at the Wahoo River around 4pm. It’s a quiet, serene anchorage, and I saw 2 dolphins in the distance as soon as we anchored. Grilled chicken is on the menu with an early start tomorrow to get through Hell Gate (eeek!).

One more sunset picture - it was too good to not include it.

  1. Some uninvited guest is the worst (remember hearing about the snake in my house at home?) Am sure you got him off the boat shortly after discovery. Awesome sunset!! Glad the winds were down.
